Her Last Two Weeks

Over the last two weeks, I have spent soooo many hours with family. It's nice to have such a close family. A family that's there to lean on when you got through a time like this has been.

Grama would have been 100 years old on August 23rd, 2009. She always told us that she didn't want to be 100. Well, she got her wish. Sunday May 3rd, 2009 God took Naoma Ruth Brace in his arms and away from her pain and suffering. She had been sick and in pain for 12 days and now she isn't. I know that we will all miss her and that it will come in waves. Having spent so much time with her in her final days, I am amazingly comforted by the fact that she is where she wants to be now. Crying is part of it, I know, but the joy I felt for her when I found out she had been taken home was surprising. I love her so much and miss her already. I'm sure Saturday will be one of the hardest days in my life up to now, but for Grama, I am looking forward to it.
