Thankful Thursday!

Yesterday I was thinking how I needed to post but I didn't know what to post about. Well, now it's Thursday and so I have a topic. I think I'll keep thinking and get something posted this weekend or something. But for now, these are the things I'm thankful for:

  • Books - I'm really into Fiction right now, but I just love to escape into a book. I love learning new things about myself and other people.
  • Time with my husband. You don't realize how precious it is until it's gone. Well, IT'S BACK!
  • Planning vacations or fun things.
  • Family pictures.
  • The comfort and ease in a good strong friendship.
  • Weather that makes my heart sing.
  • Acupuncture

Look inside for a minute and find out what your thankful for today. Have a great Thursday everyone.

Thankful Thursday!

I really enjoy the Thankful Thursday posts. It reminds me to slow down and think of something that makes me happy. I don't spend time leading up to this post thinking about what I'm going to write. When I open up the New Post tab and write my find my picture, that's when I start thinking about what I'm going to post today. This post might be a little different if I took the time throughout the week to think about my thankful things.
Anyhow... Today I am thankful for:
  • family issues resolving themselves. Sometimes they don't need a hash out, you can just sweep it under the rug and know that it was a time when things just didn't work out quite right.
  • Family members reaching goals that have taken years of work. Congrats Dr. AMY!!!!!
  • Acupuncture. I don't know what normal peoples feet feel like, but I feel like my feet are normal. I can't remember what my feet felt like before they became overworked, so I don't have a comparison any more. I'll take no cramps after 30 to 45 seconds of hard pointing!
  • Today being Brad's last final for this semester. Thank you Lord, for getting us both through this year of school with our sanity mostly intact.
  • Weather that allows you to eat outside.

I think 5 is a good number. What are you thankful for?

It's been a rainy week so far and it's only Wednesday. Most of the time when I hear that it's going to be raining all day, my brain tells me"you want to call off work and do this": Or this.

Today, though, I would like to do a little of this.

I wish that I could slow down more often and enjoy days or moments like this. Rain is so rejuvenating. It can wash you free of your worries if you will let it. Today, I want to let it.
I wouldn't mind a little of this too. :)

Enjoy the moments today. Stomp in a puddle, your not going to make it to your car with dry shoes anyhow. Enjoy the feeling of droplets hitting your arms and face. Listen to the sound of the rain hitting your umbrella. Slow down, revert back to the thrill a rain shower would give you as a child. Breath.

Thankful Thursdays!

Did you know it's Thursday? I think it's funny how you can work and go most of the day without really realizing what day it is.

This week has been busy and this weekend is a competition for dance, so this weekend will be busy too.

  • Brad being half done with his exams for his first year of Law School in about an hour.
  • Family who will come with me to competitions so that I don't have to make the drive alone.
  • Cool air when your in a hot shower.
  • Amy getting to be finished with school.
  • 1st birthdays.
  • Co-workers that make life more fun.
  • Plant sales.

I think that's pretty good for today. Take a minute to rejoice in your life. What are you thankful for?

I feel like this picture represents the number of people I know who are pregnant or have babies under two years old. It's funny how as you grow up, you and everyone around you go through stages.
A few years ago everyone I knew was graduating from college and moving into their own place. Getting new "real" jobs and growing up.

Then everyone was getting engaged, planning weddings, getting married and growing up.

Now everyone I know seems to be trying to get pregnant, getting pregnant, growing babies in their bellies, having newborns and learning how to be parents in real life. Oh and growing up.

Will I always feel like when we reach that next life stage, that we're growing up? Or do you reach a point where you feel like a grown up? Will everyone I know continue to reach the same stages of life around the same time? I love life and how you grow and change with it. I also love the predictability and unpredictability of it.
